Northeastern Region (Iceland)
The Northeastern Region (Icelandic: [Norðurland eystra] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is a region in the north of the Iceland. The population of the region was 28,618 (2007). The biggest town in the region is Akureyri, with a population of 17,300.
