These frogs live in southeastern Brazil and in the Orinoco Basin in Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil.[1][2] They live in trees. They hide in small pockets of water in plants that live on the branches and trunks of trees. The top of the frog's head has a bony plate on it. The bone plate is grown into the skin.
