Of Mice and Men is a 1939 American drama movie directed by Lewis Milestone and based on the 1937 novel of the same name by John Steinbeck. It stars Burgess Meredith, Betty Field, Lou Chaney Jr., Charles Bickford, Noah Beery Jr., Leigh Whipper and was distributed by United Artists. It was nominated for 4 Academy Awards in 1940.
