Operation Lam Son 719
Operation Lam Son 719 was a South Vietnamese military operation where South Vietnam, with United States support, attempted to disrupt the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laotian territory.[1] This operation was a failure, South Vietnam had to withdraw from Laos after failing to achieve its goals there, and the Ho Chi Minh trail remained intact and fully functional, allowing the North Vietnamese to continue to use it.[1]
