Order of New Zealand
The Order of New Zealand is the highest honour in New Zealand, ranking above the New Zealand Order of Merit. It was first instituted by the royal warrant on the 6 February 1987 and first awarded by Elizabeth II (the founder of the order) at the 1987 Special honours in New Zealand.
