Patricio Aylwin
Patricio Aylwin Azócar (November 26, 1918 – April 19, 2016) was a Chilean politician. He served as President of Chile from March 11, 1990 through March 11, 1994. He was the first president of Chile after democracy was restored in 1990. He was also a lawyer and former senator.

Aylwin was born in Viña del Mar, Chile on November 26, 1918. He married Leonor Oyarzún in 1948. They had five children. Aylwin died on April 19, 2016 at his home in Santiago from respiratory failure complicated from a fall, at the age of 97.[1]

Patricio Aylwin Azócar (n. Viña del Mar, 26 de noviembre de 1918) es un político democratacristiano y jurista chileno. Fue presidente del Senado de 1971 a 1972 y primer mandatario de su país durante el periodo comprendido entre 1990 y 1994.*Aylwin fue el primer presidente democráticamente electo tras el golpe de Estado del 11 de septiembre de 1973, en el que fue derrocado Salvador Allende y se instauró la dictadura de Augusto Pinochet.
