Philautus

Philautus is a group of shrub frogs. This group of species is in the family Rhacophoridae. They live in Asia. Some frogs in this genus are now extinct, meaning there are none alive now, but others live in large numbers. Scientists are not sure how the different frogs are related to each other or to other frogs.[1]

In 2009, scientists from Delhi University found many frogs in the forest in the Western Ghat Mountains.[4]
