Piano Sonata No. 29 (Beethoven)
Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 29 in B-flat major (also called the Hammerklavier), Op. 106, is a piece of music for solo piano. It was written between 1817 and published in 1818. The sonata was dedicated to Archduke Rudolf.[1][2]

The sonata is 40 to 45 minutes long, the longest of Beethoven's piano sonatas.

The piece contains four movements, a structure used by Beethoven in his earlier piano sonatas. However, the order of the inner movements are reversed, with the Scherzo placed before the Adagio sostenuto.[3]

- Scherzo: Assai vivace in B-flat major
- Adagio sostenuto in F-sharp minor
- Largo. Allegro risoluto in B-flat major
