Pipara / pipada rajput
Pipara/ Pipada rajput is one of the 24 branches of Gahlot/Guhil Rajputs, which is related to Pipar village of Marwar. After the invasion of Alauddin Khilji in 1303 AD and the siege of Chittor, some Gehlot branches became extinct, one of which was Pipada. After that in 1453 AD, in the Awal-Bawal treaty between Rana Kumbha of Mewar and Rao Jodha of Marwar, some Pipada Gehlot Rajputs left their home in Pipar Marwar and came to Mewar.
