"Refugee" is a 1980 song by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and is the second single from their third studio album Damn the Torpedoes. It went to number 2 in Canada, number 3 in New Zealand and number 15 in the United States. It has been covered by Melissa Etheridge in 2005.
