Residential building
A residential building is one that primarily or exclusively consists of one or more dwelling units. Residential buildings are the most common type of building, with the single-family house as the most abundant in most of North America primarily due to strict single-family zoning. Single-family residences are buildings designed and constructed to house only one household each. These homes have one dwelling unit that takes up the entire structure. Multi-family buildings have two or more units in the same building to accommodate several or many different households.
