The estuary of the River Teign
The River Teign (pronounced 'tin') is a river in south Devon. It is 31 miles (50 km) long and rises on Dartmoor. It becomes an estuary just below Newton Abbot and flows into the English Channel at Teignmouth.
The Teign is formed by the joining together of the rivers North Teign and South Teign.
