Robert L. Backman
Robert LeGrand Backman (March 22, 1922 – June 3, 2022) was an American lawyer and politician. He was a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1978 until his death. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was also a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy between 1978 until 1992. From 2005 to 2008, Backman was president of the church's Jordan River Utah Temple.[1]
Backman died in Holladay, Utah on June 3, 2022, at the age of 100.[2]
