Robert Peters

Robert Louis Peters (October 20, 1924 - June 13, 2014) was an American poet, critic, scholar, playwright, editor, and actor. His poetry career began in 1967 when he wanted to write a poem about the death of his son. The poem was called Songs for a Son.

After Peters divorced, he began dating Paul Trachtenberg. Their relationship lasted for 36 years.[1]

Peters died on June 13, 2014 from natural causes at the age of 89.
