Roberto Remigio Benigni ^[1] (Italian pronunciation: [roˈbɛrto beˈniɲɲi];^[2] born 27 October 1952) is an Italian actor, comedian, screenwriter and director. He is known for writing, directing, producing and starring in Life Is Beautiful, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor.
