It topped the single charts in Costa Rica, Iceland, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland and the United Kingdom and made the top 20 in Australia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Finland, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Uruguay. The music video was infamously banned in New Zealand.
