Rod Temperton

Rodney Lynn Temperton (October 9, 1949 – September 25, 2016) was a renowned British songwriter, record producer, and musician. He is best known for his work as a key songwriter and producer for the legendary pop singer Michael Jackson's Thriller album, contributing to hits such as "Rock with You," "Off the Wall," and "Thriller." Temperton was also a member of the British jazz-funk band Heatwave, where he wrote several of their biggest hits, including "Boogie Nights" and "Always and Forever." His distinctive songwriting style combined catchy melodies with sophisticated arrangements, making him one of the most influential figures in pop and R&B music.
