Roscoe Lee Browne

Roscoe Lee Browne (May 2, 1922 – April 11, 2007) was an American television, stage, voice, and movie actor, narrator, and director. He was known for his deep voice.

Early life

Browne was born in Woodbury, New Jersey. His parents were Sylvanus S. Browne and Lovie Lee Usher. He was African American. Browne was educated at Lincoln University, an historically black university. He graduated in 1946.

Career

Browne's career began in 1964 in the movie Black Like Me. His career has lasted 43 years. He has appeared in over 100 movies.

Death

Browne was never married. He died on April 11, 2007, from stomach cancer in Los Angeles, California.[1]
