S Doradus
S Doradus is a blue hypergiant star found in the large magellanic cloud. Its temperature can fall to lower than 7,000 degrees Kelvin in big eruptions. S Doradus can be more than a million times brighter than our Sun and 380 times larger in these eruptions.[1]

S Doradus properties at minimum and maximum according to different studies:*- van Genderen (2001), temperature at minimum derived from colour index*- Lamers (1995), properties derived from non-LTE model atmosphere*- Humphreys & Davidson (1994), temperature at minimum assumes constant luminosity
