Sab Shimono

Saburo Shimono (born July 31, 1937) is a Japanese–American actor. He began his career on stage on Broadway. His best known roles were in Mame, Lovely Ladies, Kind Gentlemen, and Pacific Overtures.

He has appeared in many movies and television shows in character roles, including Midway, Gung Ho, Presumed Innocent, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, The Shadow, Samurai Jack, and Southland Tales. He also voiced Monk Gyatso / Master Yu in Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Shimono was born in Sacramento, California.[1] He is openly gay.[2]
