Sargon may refer to different rulers. The name Sargon is what texts in the Bible use, the people were not known as Sargon in their native language:

• Sargon of Akkad, also known as Sargon the Great, Mesopotamian king
• Šarru-kên I, Assyrian king; the Bible refers to him as Sargon I
• Sargon II, Assyrian king
