Sheng Thao

Sheng Thao (born July 18, 1985[1]) is an American politician. She was the 51st Mayor of Oakland, California from 2023[2] until 2024.[3] She was the first Hmong-American mayor of a major city in the United States.[4]

On November 5, 2024, there was an election to remove her from office. The people of Oakland voted to remove her as mayor.[5] She left office on December 17.[3][6]
