Sidik Mia

Sidik Mia (1965 – 12 January 2021) was a Malawian businessman and politician. He was a member of the Democratic Progressive Party. From 2004 to 2014, he was a member of the National Assembly. From 2009 to 2010, he was Minister of Defence and from 2020 until his death, Mia was Minister of Transport and Public Works.

In the 2019 general election, Mia was the running mate of Lazarus Chakwera.

Mia died on 12 January 2021 from COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Malawi, aged 56.
