Sir
Sir is a title of honour commonly given to a male who has been knighted, been made a baronet or has been made a senior member of one of the British orders of chivalry. It can also be a way to address any male, especially if their name is not known.
The equivalent of Sir for a female, can be dame, lady or madam.
