Soul Notes
Soul Notes is the second album by Portuguese singer Aurea, released on November 26, 2012 by Sony Music and Blim Records. Although more musical genres can be heard on the album besides Soul, this is the basis of the album. The album was at the top for 34 weeks and its record was 5th place. Through this album, 3 singles were released. The first was called “Scratch My Back” and then “Nothing Left To Say” and “The Star”. “Scratch My Back” was nominated for the Golden Globe for Song of the Year, but lost to “Desfado” by Ana Moura.
Composition and Revelation
The album was composed by Rui Ribeiro, João Pedro Matos and Ricardo Ferreira. The album was revealed on September 7, 2012 (the day Aurea turned 25) through Rádio Comercial where Aurea sang Scratch My Back.
