Star apple

The star apple (Chrysophyllum cainito) is a fruit found in Isthmus of Panama, Greater Antilles, West Indies and South East Asia. The name comes from the a star pattern, visible in the pulp. It is not poisonous. Despite of its English name, it is not like an apple.
