Sussex Spaniel

The Sussex Spaniel is a breed of gundog of the spaniel type that was first bred in Sussex in southern England in about the year 1795. It is has shorter legs and is slower than most of the other spaniels.[1]

Colour

The Sussex Spaniel will always be a dark golden brown colour that in dogs is called Liver.[2]

Temperament

These dogs are usually very gentle but can be rough with young children. Sometimes they might not like meeting other dogs that they don't know.[3]

Energy

They are not as fast as most of the other spaniels and do not need to be exercised as much as their cousins.[2]
