Swish Swish
"Swish Swish" is a song by American singer Katy Perry. It features a rap from American rapper Nicki Minaj. The song is from Perry's fifth studio album, Witness. It talks about overcoming bullying and has sounds of house music throughout it. It was released in May 2017 as a promotional single with the pre-order of Witness, but it was released later as an official single on May 19.[1]

The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 46.[2]
Perry and Minaj first performed the song on TV at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards,[3] which Perry hosted.
Background
Critics have said that the song is about singer Taylor Swift. She and Perry have had a rivalry since 2013, when Swift accused Perry of "stealing" backup dancers on tour. Swift released the song "Bad Blood" in 2014, which was rumored to be about her feud with Perry. Perry has revealed that she is ready to move on from the feud.[4]
Music video
The music video stars several celebrities, such as actor Terry Crews and Internet personality Christine Sydelko. The setting is a basketball game against the Tigers (Perry's team) and the Sheep.[4] A contest was held to determine what fans would appear in the video. The video is over six minutes long.

The song became Perry's 18th and Minaj's 6th chart-topper on Dance Club Songs.
Brazilian singer Gretchen appeared on the song's lyric video.
