Taray District
Taray District is one of eight districts of the Calca Province in the Cusco Region in Peru. Its main city is Taray. The town is southwest of Pisac. It is near a stream named Pawayuq (Pahuayoc) that is part of the Willkanuta River.

Ethnic groups
Many people in the district are indigenous Quechua. Quechua is the language most used in childhood (86.14%). 13.37% of people started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[2]
