"Teardrops on My Guitar" is the second single off of American singer Taylor Swift's first self-titled studio album. The song was released on February 20, 2007. The song was able to make it to #2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also certified 3× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[1][2][3]

Swift said that she was inspired by Drew Hardwick, her classmate whom she had a crush on. Unknown to Hardwick, he would talk to Swift about another girl who he had a crush on. She never confessed her feelings to him.[4] Actor Tyler Hilton plays the main male character Drew in the music video.[5]
