It is requested that a change be made to this semi-protected article (see protection log).
This template may only be used when followed by a specific description of the request, that is, specific text that should be removed and a verbatim copy of the text that should replace it. "Please change X" is not acceptable and will be rejected; the request must be of the form "please change X to Y". The change may be made by any autoconfirmed user. Remember to replace the {{editsemiprotected}} template with {{tlf|editsemiprotected}} when the request has been accepted, rejected or on hold awaiting user input. This so that inactive requests don't needlessly fill up the semi-protected edit requests category. You may also wish to use the {{ESp}} template in the response. |
Template documentationThis template is used to request edits to a semi-protected article on that article's talk page.
Usage
Make a new section on the article talk page with a title like "Edit request" and place the code
- REDIRECT Template:Template link code
accompanied by a clear and specific description of the requested change.
Providing the new sentences or code in your request to be copied directly into the page will expedite the process.
Recommended action upon resolution
Once a request is handled, it's best to leave the
- REDIRECT Template:Template link code tag as an un-transcluded tag by changing its code to
- REDIRECT Template:Template link code
This will remove the message box from the talk page and also remove the talk page from the category, while still leaving a record of the request.
You may use {{ESp}} when responding to requests for edits to semiprotected pages. For example,
- REDIRECT Template:Template link code is convenient for responding to insufficiently specific requests.
