Template:ISO 639 name ca is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code ca, for example: {{Translated page |ca |name of page at Catalan Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Catalan Wikipedia and to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Catalan Wikipedia.
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|ca| some text in Catalan}} wraps the text with <span lang="ca"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code ca to include articles in Category:Articles containing Catalan-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Catalan |ca}}). Also available is {{Lang-ca |some text in Catalan}} which displays as Catalan: some text in Catalan.
- {{R from other language|ca|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Catalan-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|ca}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Catalan-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
