Template:ISO 639 name nso is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code nso, for example: {{Translated page |nso |name of page at Northern Sotho Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Northern Sotho Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Northern Sotho Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |nso}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|nso| some text in Northern Sotho}} wraps the text with <span lang="nso"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code nso to include articles in Category:Articles containing Northern Sotho-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Northern Sotho |nso}}). Also available is {{Lang-nso |some text in Northern Sotho}} which displays as Northern Sotho: some text in Northern Sotho.
- {{R from other language|nso|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Northern Sotho-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|nso}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Northern Sotho-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
