Usage
Template:ISO 639 name os is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code os, for example: {{Translated page |os |name of page at Ossetic Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Ossetic Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Ossetic Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |os}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|os| some text in Ossetic}} wraps the text with <span lang="os"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code os to include articles in Category:Articles containing Ossetic-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Ossetic |os}}). Also available is {{Lang-os |some text in Ossetic}} which displays as Ossetian: some text in Ossetic .
- {{R from other language|os|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Ossetic-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|os}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Ossetic-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
