Template:ISO 639 name sg is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code sg, for example: {{Translated page |sg |name of page at Sango Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Sango Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Sango Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |sg}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|sg| some text in Sango}} wraps the text with <span lang="sg"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code sg to include articles in Category:Articles containing Sango-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Sango |sg}}). Also available is {{Lang-sg |some text in Sango}} which displays as Sango: some text in Sango.
- {{R from other language|sg|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Sango-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|sg}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Sango-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
