Template:ISO 639 name st is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code st, for example: {{Translated page |st |name of page at Sotho Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Sotho Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Sotho Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |st}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|st| some text in Sotho}} wraps the text with <span lang="st"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code st to include articles in Category:Articles containing Sotho-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Sotho |st}}). Also available is {{Lang-st |some text in Sotho}} which displays as Sotho: some text in Sotho.
- {{R from other language|st|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Sotho-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|st}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Sotho-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
