Template:Redirect from shortcut
The pages in this category are redirects from shortcuts, abbreviated or otherwise different forms of their target pages. To add a redirect to this category, place {{Redirect category shell|{{R from shortcut}}}} on the second new line after #REDIRECT [[Target page name]] . Alias/shortcuts may also be used; for example: {{Rcat shell}} is a shortcut for {{Redirect category shell}} and may be used interchangeably. For more information, follow the template link. Never substitute rcat(s), nor place them on soft redirects. Also see the complete list of redirect templates and the redirect style guide. |
This is a maintenance category. It is used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project and is not part of the encyclopedia. It contains pages that are not articles, or it groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories. This is a hidden category. It is not shown on its member pages, unless the corresponding user preference 'Show hidden categories' is set. This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. Pages are added to tracking categories through templates. |
Shortcuts are historically reserved for Wikipedia project reference pages and are now used in and for all namespaces. They are often referenced in edit history. Please note that this category is not meant for shorter, abbreviated titles of articles in mainspace. Please use the templates {{R from initialism}} and {{R from acronym}} for such redirects to articles in the main namespace. Please take note that Category:Redirects from template shortcuts is a subcategory of this category. See also {{R from template shortcut}} for more information.
