Template:Uw-tilde
(Redirected from Template:Tilde)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Just in case you didn't know, when you post messages on talkpages and Wikipedia pages, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ("~~~~") at the end of your message. You can also click on the signature button or which is above the change window. This will put a signature containing your user name or IP address and the time you posted the message. This information is useful because other users will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you!
This template is used by the standard installation of Twinkle. If you are planning to make major changes to this template or nominate it for deletion, as a courtesy, please notify Twinkle's user base and maintainers at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle. |
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Uw-tilde}}). |
Usage
- This template conforms to guidelines organized by the user warnings project. Please discuss the general visual appearance of these templates (for example, the image in the top-left corner) on the user warning talk page.
- Please refer to the index of message templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.
- Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:uw-tilde}} rather than
{{uw-tilde}}
. - This template uses a parser function. To give greater detail to your message, you may add the article and some additional text to the end of the template. If such article or additional text includes a URL or anything which includes an equal sign ("="), it may break the parser's function unless you prefix the article or the text with "
1=
".
