Teya (singer)
Teodora Špirić (born 12 April 2000), known professionally as Teya, is an Austrian singer and songwriter. She is best known for the song "Who the Hell is Edgar?", which she wrote alongside Salena. She was born in Vienna to Serbian parents.
Career
Teya began her singing career in 2018. In 2020, she applied to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, but failed to do so. She also applied to represent Serbia, but also did not manage.
In 2021, Teya entered as a contestant on the Austrian reality show Starmania. She was eliminated before the final, finishing in 8th place.
In 2023, it was announced that she would represent Austria in Eurovision 2023, alongside Salena, who she met on Starmania, with the song "Who the Hell is Edgar?". They were runners-up in the second semi-final and finished in 15th place in the Grand Final.
