The City of God
The City of God is a work of Christian theology. It was written by Augustine of Hippo in Latin in the early 5th century.
The work's full title is On the city of God against the pagans (Latin: Dē cīvitāte Deī contrā pāgānōs). It is made up of 22 books. Augustine began to write it in 412 or 413. He finished it sometime between 422 and 429.[1]
