They Don't Care About Us

"They Don't Care About Us" is a song by Michael Jackson. It was released as the fourth single from HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I on March 31, 1996. Two videos were made for the song. This was the first time Jackson made two videos for a single. The first video was filmed in two places in Brazil, Dona Marta and Salvador. It was number 1 in Germany for three weeks.^[1]

Jackson was going to perform the song in his This Is It concerts in 2009.

In 2009, Northern Kings published their own version of the song on their album Rethroned.

The cultural music group Olodum from the city of Salvador, with whom Jackson collaborated.
Precarious houses in the favela of Complexo do Alemão in Rio de Janeiro. Identical scenes are viewable in the first music video.
