Thor (Marvel Comics)
Thor is a character in Marvel Comics. The character was first seen in the comic Journey into Mystery #83 (date August 1962). His full name is Thor Odinson. Based on the Norse deity of the same name, Thor is the son of the Norse god Odin and goddess Frigga, he is the god of thunder. Thor is also a founding member of the Avengers. His main enemy is Loki, god of trickery and mischief. Loki is also Thor's younger adopted brother.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor is played by Australian actor Chris Hemsworth. Hemsworth played Thor in the movies Thor (2011), The Avengers (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). He also played the role in Thor: Love and Thunder and the Guardians of the Galaxy movie by Marvel.
