Thrombocytopenia

Thrombocytopenia is a condition where there is an unhealthy case of low levels of platelets, also known as thrombocytes, in the blood.^[1]

A normal human platelet count ranges from 150,000 to 450,000 platelets per microliter of blood.^[2] This condition can often make a person have 50,000 per microliter.^[3]
