Tokoname (常滑市, Tokoname-shi) is a Japanese city in Aichi Prefecture on the island of Honshu.[1]

Tokoname has been known for making ceramics since the 12th century.[1] The city is Japan's top producer of Maneki Neko.[2]
Geography
Tokoname is on the western coast of Chita Peninsula in southern Aichi Prefecture.
