Tver Oblast
Tver Oblast (Russian: Тверска́я о́бласть, Tverskaya oblast, Karelian: Tverin alue), from 1935 to 1990 known as Kalinin Oblast (Кали́нинская о́бласть), is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its administrative center is the city of Tver. In 2010, 1,353,392 people lived in the oblast.[1]
