Twista
Carl Terrell Mitchell (born November 27, 1973), better known as Twista (formerly Tung Twista), is an American rapper and record producer. He released his first album (under Tung Twista), Runnin' Off at da Mouth, in 1992. In the same year, he was named the world's fastest rapper in the Guinness Book of World Records. He was dropped by the recording label Loud Records after his first album did not sell well. Twista released an his second album Resurrection, also under Tung Twista. Resurrection shares its name with fellow Chicago rapper Common's second album. In 1996, he collaborated with fellow Chicago hip hop group Do or Die on the track "Po Pimp". Twista then dropped the word "Tung" from his stage name after the release he signed with Atlantic Records which released third album Adrenaline Rush in 1997. He had his first number one single, "Slow Jamz", in 2003. "Slow Jamz" was from Twista's fourth album, Kamikaze. The single was also featured on fellow Chicago rapper Kanye West's first album The College Dropout.
