(Redirected from USS Maine (ACR-1))
USS Maine was a United States Navy warship. She exploded and sank in Havana Harbor in 1898, which was the reason the United States got involved in the Spanish-American War. USS Maine was commissioned as ACR-1 (Armored Cruiser #1). She is sometimes called a second-class battleship. Her sister ship was the USS Texas.
