The University of Canberra (UC) is a university in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. It was founded in 1967 under the name Canberra College of Advanced Education.[1]
The University of Canberra's Bruce campus is on land that used to belong to the Ngunnawal, one of many groups of people who lived in Australia before Europeans came. The name "Canberra" means "meeting place" in the Ngunnawal language.[2]
