Vasco Mouzinho de Quevedo
Vasco Mouzinho de Quevedo (or Quebedo, 16th/17th century) was a Portuguese poet.[1] Little is known about his personal life. He studied law at the University of Coimbra. He wrote lyrical poems, for example sonnets,[2] but is best known fo his epic works. One of them is Discurso sobre a Vida e Morte de Santa Isabel Rainha de Portugal that was published in Lisbon in 1596. The greatest work by the poet is Afonso Africano, an epic poem in ottava rima (1611).[3]
