Vicente Calderón Stadium

The Vicente Calderón Stadium (Spanish: Estadio Vicente Calderón) was the home stadium of Atlético Madrid from 1966 to 2017. It had a capacity of 54,907 and is located on the banks of the Manzanares River, in the Arganzuela district of Madrid, Spain.[1] The stadium was originally called the Estadio Manzanares from 1966 to 1971, but this was later changed to the Vicente Calderón Stadium in 1972, in honor of their club President Vicente Calderón. The stadium will be demolished in 2018.
